Do you have visibility of your supply chain partners?

The Issues
Supply Chain Collaboration requires prime contractors to pull together diverse teams for major projects, from different departments and suppliers.  Each project supply chain may be different, with a new combination of internal staff and external suppliers.

Companies can cite examples of great projects which have performed well and been held up as an example of success by their clients, but they also have many examples at the other end of the spectrum.

So how can the industry make delivery more consistent, and how can a prime contractor get a better view of the performance of their Supply Chain partners across a portfolio of projects?

Solution Overview
At a basic level Supply Chain collaboration requires prime contractors to share critical information with their suppliers, and vice versa.  Suppliers need to be able to plan resourcing, logistics and materials, but often are last to know. In return, suppliers can provide resource usage, scheduling and billing information back, allowing the contractor to plan ahead more accurately and compare performance.  Sharing this information between trusted partners, securely, can enable the whole project supply chain to operate as one team.

Team collaboration - getting projects from across the supply chain to share information and ideas, and work on plans, and bid documents as early as possible.
