Rapid data and process analysis of Out of Hours GP services
Lincolnshire Teaching Primary Care Trust
Lincolnshire Teaching Primary Care Trust (LPCT) serves a rural county with dispersed centres of population, the biggest and most significant being Lincoln. The total LPCT population is 728,000 with an approximate seasonal migrant worker population of 50,000. The Out of Hours GP services, run by the PCT and under a new management team, have been radically re-organised to support the delivery of enhanced patient services.
The PCT wanted to know how well it’s Out of Hours service was performing beyond the measures established by the National Quality Requirements Report. In addition it was looking for an insight into demand experienced in the PCTs different localities and observations on the capacity to meet that demand. To meet the PCTs requirements
WCI proposed a rapid data and process analysis supported by a set of hypotheses to be tested.
